Importance of exercise for children’s mental health
Do your children get enough exercise? It is important that children get adequate exercise in order to prevent physical health concerns and obesity. However, it is also extremely important for their mental health. It is recommended that children ages six to 17 get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
Improving your general physical health by exercising means you are less at risk of developing mental illness? Furthermore, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, regular exercise can decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improve energy, concentration and sleep.
