Foster Care Services
When children cannot be cared for by their birth parents, Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS) is here to help with critical foster care services. We provide case management in cooperation with Missouri’s Children’s Division for kids who are in state custody due to child abuse and neglect. Foster parents provide a safe and stable home with a caring family while the birth parents work towards permanency/ reunification. LFCS also provides foster to adoption services for youth that are not able to reunify with their family.
We are proud to be a member of St. Louis Partners, which is a collaborative effort between LFCS, Good Shepherd, and Bringing Families Together. Through this partnership, we are driven to advocate for all children in foster care. From placing siblings together, to understanding the importance and urgency of caring for children with specific needs, our combined histories bring stability and compassion to the intricacies of foster care.
