Faithful Promises – Fall 2020-4
We promise to help career dreams come true.
“Learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphans, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17
From their first day of marriage, Monica and Brett dreamed of becoming parents. They planned a family, but they struggled with infertility. After six years of heartache, they began exploring other options. It was with the guidance of LFCS that they opened their hearts to adoption.
They took the first step in their adoption journey in the spring of 2019 by completing an application. Over the next few months, they learned about the process and began a required home-study program. Towards the end of the program, a birth couple came to LFCS asking for help. They were young, unexpectedly pregnant and wanted to know more about adoptive placement. With careful review, the LFCS team worked with both families to plan the adoption of a baby girl.
A year and one day later, the day of their adoption finalization hearing had arrived. Monica and Brett felt God had helped them through the process and brought their family together. God has worked in wonderful ways to benefit the little girl since her adoption as well. She’s thriving at her adoptive home, and Monica and Brett stay in touch with her birth parents through letters, pictures and social media.
Together they have made it work, and the girl knows she is loved by all of her parents.
