We promise to create safe places for those victimized by domestic abuse.

Domestic abuse has been on the rise during the pandemic. Stress caused by losses in employment, health and security have influenced violent behaviors that affect mental and physical well-being. These behaviors combined with couples spending more time together at home has created the rise in domestic abuse cases.
At LFCS, we have witnessed new domestic abuse cases. We have also seen victims already in recovery achieve new goals during the pandemic. Earlier in the year, LFCS helped a woman move away from her abusive boyfriend into her own apartment. She was able to find a stable job, and she is planning to start school to become a medical assistant. She feels empowered to accomplish her goals because of her new found independence.
