LFCS Community Services was recently awarded a grant known as Hands on Banking. The funding, provided by Wells Fargo and United Way of Greater St. Louis, supports a five-week financial education program for school-aged children. Aligned with national and state educational standards for economics, financial literacy, mathematics, and English language arts, the lessons guide participants through real-life scenarios, group discussions, and valuable activities. Topics covered include earning money, smart spending, saving, investing and building credit—real world skills for real life.
