St. Nicholas Day 2016
Celebrated by Christians around the world, December 6 honors the real-life Bishop of Myra. Nicholas, a man who is said to have always noticed others’ needs, was known to give gifts in secret to poor and needy children and families – and with extra special generosity at Christmastime.
Stories about the real St. Nicholas eventually became legendary, until slowly this selfless man of faith became known by the Dutch nickname Sinter Klaas … today’s Santa Claus!
Maybe in recent days you’ve delivered to LFCS your own special gift for children and families in need. If so, please know of our deepest thanks for joining this season’s donors. If not, there’s still time to return a Christmas contribution for Lutheran Family and Children’s Services.
Showering your generosity on those in need is a blessing to all who are in need right now.

P.S. Stories of St. Nicholas filling stockings hung by the chimney to dry may be legend, but his generosity was very real. So is yours. Please, please help LFCS lovingly care for the children in greatest need turning to us from all across Missouri.
