The Alzheimer’s Caregiver HELP Class will offer information and resources to help individuals who are providing care to someone with Alzheimer’s disease or another related illness.

Topics will include: the terminology that is used in the world of dementia, getting a diagnosis, the progression of the disease, communication and behavioral changes, treatment options, and safety concerns for care receiver and care provider. If there is interest, the class may continue for an additional week or two to discuss community resources, legal and financial matters, family dynamics, or any other topics of value to the participants.
All participants will receive a Caregiver Notebook and other helpful handouts and resources.
There is a suggested fee of $15 per session; scholarships are available. All four sessions will be held on Wednesdays fro 1-3 p.m. (January 24 & 31, February 7 & 14.) If interested, contact Carol Dippold at Lutheran Family & Children’s Services, 573-708-6351, or e-mail Carol at [email protected].
