About Us
Our Mission
Through Christ’s love, we empower children and families to overcome challenges today so they can build a better tomorrow.
Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri (LFCS) is a not-for-profit social services organization serving the State of Missouri. The organization has been in existence since 1868, when it was founded as a residence for children left homeless after the Civil War. LFCS has made progressive program changes over its 150-year history in order to meet the shifting needs of children and families in Missouri. Read more about our history.

Generations of children and families are safer and stronger together.
