About the Bringing Baby Home Program
Every year in the United States, approximately 4 million babies are born to couples.  This life event holds potential for great joy in parents' lives; yet research shows that within three years after the birth of a child, 60% of couples will experience a significant drop in relationship quality and have a dramatic increase in conflict and hostility.  As a result, parenting is compromised and the parent-infant relationship suffers.  The Bringing Baby Home (BBH) Program is a research-based and research-tested program developed by renowned relationship experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman, for pregnant, pre-adoptive and parenting couples, designed to teach each couple how to care for and improve their relationship while giving their baby the best foundation for healthy emotional and cognitive development.

The aim is to promote social change by making the Bringing Baby Home Program available as part of the standard birth preparation courses offered to couples in hospitals, organizations and with private entities around the world.

Bringing Baby Home is a 12-hour workshop that teaches couples how to care for their relationships while giving their babies the best foundation for healthy emotional and psychological development.

Class size is limited for our two upcoming workshops, click below for more information and to register:

Understanding Infant Adoption
Are you a health care provider that works with pregnant women?  Are you interested in learning more about adoption?

LFCS is offering FREE one-day trainings to health care professionals on infant adoption.  "Understanding Infant Adoption" is a federally funded training program designed to educate health care workers on how to present adoption as a positive option to pregnant women as well as how to support women who are making adoption plans.  Trainings are held throughout Missouri and are offered free to CEU's, nurses, and social workers.  If you are interested in attending a training or offering a training at your facility or nursing school, please contact Michelle Studer at 866/326-LFCS (2738).
