30th Annual Helping Hands Auction
"Meet Me in St. Louis"
Saturday, August 18, 2012
St. Louis Marriott Union Station
Picture St. Louis in 1904. The World's Fair -- the smell of cotton candy, the first taste of a hot dog, and the butterflies swirling in your stomach as you step onto the ferris wheel for the first time! Families came from near and far to experience the endless possibilities. The 1904 World's Fair marked a time of change and Lutheran Family and Children's Services is also working to make a difference in the lives of the families and communities we serve. Dan and Suzy Nelson together with Tom and Lynn Kapp are proud to be Chairs of the 30th Annual Helping Hands Auction. Dan and Tom currently serve on the LFCS Foundation and Operating boards, respectively. Both were adopted through LFCS. The theme for this year's auction is "Meet Me in St. Louis." We hope you will join us in August for this very special occasion.

Light The Way
Thanks to all who helped 'Light the Way' for Missouri children who are in foster care awaiting adoption. Our 2011 Light the Way campaign culminated with the lighting of over 2,000 luminaries at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Peres on January 6, 2012. Each luminary represents a child waiting for a forever home.
