Living the Mission Anniversary Prayer Breakfast
The Prayer Breakfast, held on Friday, March 27th had its highest attendance with 375 people enjoying this event at the Frontenac Hilton. Blessings to you and yours.

LFCS ANNOUNCES NEW EVENT - “Light the Way"
LFCS proudly announces a new event called LFCS “Light the Way" Family Picnic will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Carondelet Park in St. Louis. The LFCS “Light the Way" Family Picnic is a free admission, family-friendly event featuring ticket sales for food and drinks, carnival games, glow-in-the dark
t-shirts, and more!
With 1,858 children waiting adoption in the state of Missouri, finding forever homes for these kids is more important than ever. Funds raised from this event will help us do just that! We want to “Light the Way" by lighting up 1,858 luminaries at dusk.
Every $25 raised will light one luminary. DONATE NOW - Light A Luminary.Funds raised will support foster care and adoption programs of LFCS. We need your help to make this goal a reality! Boas and Bling
The Southwest Office will host its 2nd annual “Boas and Bling? Mother’s Day brunch at the exclusive Highland Springs Country Club, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009. This year’s event will highlight fancy hats worn by Springfield’s most sophisticated ladies including our guest speaker, Liz Delany of Alice 95.5. Liz will honor two special women, her mother and birth mother, as she shares the inspirational and heart warming story of her adoption. Purchase a feather boa or tiara for $25 and enter to win diamond earrings valued over $2,000. You can also bid on delicious cakes and beautiful flower arrangements in the silent auction. Perfect for mother’s day!Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children 12 and younger or $30/$20 at the door. Last year, this event raised over $4,000 for the Springfield WINGS program. 7th Annual Hope Fore Families Golf Tournament in Cape Girardeau
Play on one of the top 10 golf courses in the nation held in Cape Girardeau at Dalhousie Golf Club Monday, May 11, 2009. Choose from a morning flight which generally begins at 8:00 a.m., with breakfast served at 7:00 a.m. or afternoon flight which tees off at 1:30 p.m., following lunch which generally begins at 11:30 a.m. The tournament is a 4-person scramble featuring awesome prizes, great food and lots a fun.

8th Annual Hope Fore Families Golf Tournament in St. Louis
Mark your calendar for the 8th annual Hope fore Families Golf Tournament to be held Monday, June 1st, 2009 at Sunset Country Club. Sunset Country Club boasts one of the more storied and best maintained private championship golf courses in the St. Louis area. It is also one of St. Louis' most historic and prestigious private clubs. Join us for the 18-hole, 4-person scramble and help support LFCS and it’s many programs. Tee Off is at Noon and starting around 5:00 PM, we will have a Cocktail Party, Awards Ceremony, Auction and Dinner. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy golf and support a great cause. 27th Annual Helping Hands Auction - held on September 19th
The Helping Hands Auction is LFCS' largest fundraising event of the year. This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 19th at the Marriott Union Station in St. Louis. Our goal is to raise to $300,000 in support of the many statewide programs and services provided by LFCS. LFCS is proud to announce the 2009 Helping Hands Auction Chairs, Tom and Shirley Kopatz.
