Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are essential to successful disaster operations. LFCS is a trusted leader in volunteer coordination and has cultivated a wide network of partners across Missouri and the United States.

Current Opportunities include:

Orrick Tornado 2014 Recovery
The Community of Orrick, Missouri, a town east of Kansas City that was affected by a powerful tornado in May 2014, needs skilled volunteers to assist in repairing 2 homes and 1 potential full (ground up) rebuild.  Through a partnership with our Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church, we will have a skilled construction coordinator who will head up the repairs onsite.  Groups of 10-12 with 3:1 unskilled:skilled ratio are preferred.

Brookport, Illinois Tornado 2013 recovery

Reconstruction continues in Brookport and rebuilding teams are needed to assist. Please contact Pastor Jeff Belmear at 618-524-9325 or LFCS for more information.
