Pregnant & Need Help

Each year, we provide services to over 700 women in our pregnancy counseling program and help about 20 of those women in making an agency adoption plan. In an agency adoption, the birth mother works directly with her adoption professional. The counseling process is essential, as the birth mother and (if possible) father:

  • Establish goals for her and her child
  • Examine the realities in making an adoption plan
  • Review the types of adoptions available
  • Consider possible adoptive families
  • Gather and provide family health and background information,
  • Decides on requests for future contact with the child and the potential adoptive family
  • Receive support for the legal process for adoption
  • Learn that adoption is a life-long process

Private or Independent Adoption services for Birth Parents can include any of these services, depending on the client’s requests.
