Adoption Focused Mental Health
The Adoption Focused Mental Health Program provides services for children and youth who may be struggling with issues associated with being adopted or being in foster care. We provide counseling that celebrates strengths and is sensitive to the unique challenges of adoption.
This counseling can help children and families explore issues such as:
- Past Trauma
- Past abuse or neglect
- Fitting in
There is no cost to families (living in St. Louis County) for these services. Mental health counseling for children and their families is provided by a licensed professional, specially trained in children’s therapy (including play therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Children and families can be seen on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.
